It is rare for Bands to have such control, understanding, and objectivity they create and produce their music. Young, freakishly mature, and wise beyond their years, Papadosio has just released a sophisticated work of art. This skillfully orchestrated jamtronic record refreshes, rearranges and gracefully does what is impossible for most bands. And that's why Papadosio's self titled release is happening in a big way.

The record moves with pushing and pulling arrangements which blend its electronic soundscapes that bloom into guitars and rock and roll and back again. Downtempos and arrpegiations emerge within each other, which wrap and twist into the heights of the record. Layers of depth and space are constant throughout. Front to back and between tracks, every seam is manicured and treated with sonic brilliance. The result is a slick integration of electronic and organic textures that blend and blur with precission and feeling.

Luke James recently made the plunge and headed to New York City to do his best in making it huge. After living in Bowling Green Ohio his entire life this change was both welcomed and exciting. He is recording and writing new songs and getting more shows and people to come out and watch. Luke James only started playing guitar after his senior year of high school before he started college. It was a summer that changed his life. He didn't start right away but soon after teaching himself the guitar he started writing songs and recording them on a tape deck. He would listen to them in the car and make up harmonies and add things to the songs by singing along to these poorly recorded tunes. One summer later he bought a microphone and a recording program and started writing more than ever because he was now able to edit and mix the songs he wrote. He has been hooked ever since and has not stopped writing, playing, singing and loving every minute of it. He wants the music he writes to move people. He tries to focus his songs around the lyrics, because they mean the most to him. He just wants to play music and sing for people. That's not too much to ask. He wants to thank God for all the blessings that have been given to him and wants you to know he gets nervous before every single show. God bless.

GOLD MOTEL doesn’t exist, but if it did, you’d find it on a winding road somewhere in the sun-drenched hills of Southern California. Singer-songwriter Greta Morgan wrote her first song at age three and never stopped, cutting her teeth in the music business and honing her chops as a driving creative force of the Chicago jangle-pop act The Hush Sound. After four years, three albums and a relentless touring schedule that included shows to devoted fans on three continents, Greta packed up her guitar, her piano, and her record collection and headed to Southern California to write the songs which would become her solo endeavor.
Gold Motel represents the evolution of a musical identity that hearkens back to pop’s crowning achievements: the dreamy energy of The Kinks, the quickwitted lyrical dexterity of Elvis Costello, the unassuming sophistication of a Beach Boys melody, light as air and deep as the Pacific. The youthful energy and sheer joy of Greta’s work is captured on the Gold Motel EP, recorded with friend Dan Duzsynzski (of the band This Is Me Smiling). Until then, old and new fans alike can catch Greta at live performances throughout the US, where she charms and beguiles with all the talent and soul of a singer in the lobby of a gilded motel.

Most college boys spend their free time playing beer pong and hooking up with hot chicks. But Southfield, Michigan-bred producer/singer/songwriter Mike Posner, 21, doesn’t let the hedonistic side of life at Duke University (where he’s currently a senior, majoring in both sociology and business) derail him from his musical dreams. At 13, he started making beats and networking with other musicians via Internet message boards. In January 2009, Posner holed up in his dorm room and wrote, produced and recorded every track on his debut mixtape, A Matter of Time. The mixtape hit the Web in March, sparking a months-long label bidding war, where J Records emerged the victor. Even with all his musical accomplishments, Mike hasn’t abandoned his studies just yet, as evidenced by his hustle during finals week this semester. “Thursday and Friday I performed in Detroit. Saturday I performed at the University of Dayton. I had three finals on Tuesday, a show at Duke Wednesday, did a song with Wale and 9th Wonder Thursday, and Friday I had a meeting with Jay-Z.” While Mike works toward graduation, he is recording a new mixtape slated for a fall release, his debut album, as well as touring every weekend.

The phenomenon known as Sublime, arguably the most energetic, original and uniquely eclectic band to emerge from any scene, anywhere, ended with the untimely death of lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996.  But encompassing the sense of place and purpose long associated with Sublime's music, Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time.  What separates Badfish from other tribute bands is that they have replicated Sublime's essence, developing a scene and dedicated following most commonly reserved for label-driven, mainstream acts.  Badfish make their mark on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime.  They perform not as Sublime would have, or did, but as Badfish does.

The smooth soul of Stevie Wonder, the percussive power of Stomp, the funk and drive of Earth, Wind, & Fire, the hip licks of Take 6, and the brass bite of the Harry Connick Jr. Big Band

All created by the human voice alone!

Hailed "one of the best pop-jazz vocal groups in the world" by the San Francisco Chronicle, m-pact is respected worldwide as a cutting edge trailblazer in the realm of vocal music. Emerging from an age of auto-tune and overproduction, this Los Angeles-based sextet has cultivated a new generation of ears hungry for the fresh, raw power of nature's "first instrument" - the human voice.

From the beginning, the "pact" of these well-studied masters has been to stay true to Music, regardless of style or genre. Their sophisticated sound and accessible appeal have garnered vast accolades, including "Vocal Group of the Year" from the LA Music Awards, an Indie nomination (the Independent GrammyTM), "Artist of the Year" (Seattle Music Awards), and Grand National Champs of the Harmony Sweepstakes competition.

Scott Ballard is a talented singer/songwriter with extreme instrumental skill on piano, guitar, and a multitude of other instruments. He has performed all over the Northwest Ohio and Southeastern MI, with and without the band Skoobie Snaks; including shows at the Seagate Center, Put in Bay, the Toledo Zoo, and many other venues. For one night only, Scott will be teaming up with fellow Bowling Green native Alex Depue for a show like no other. Alex has toured the world with many country and rock greats. His skill is unparalleled, and his willingness to “Push the Limit” is what landed him the gig as guitar legend Steve Vai's violinist. Their last project “Where the Wild Things Are” was nominated for a Grammy in 2009. This event will function as a benefit for Scott's son Jalen. He is a multi-talented 7 year old, who happens to be blind, and will be competing in the National Braille Challenge held in Los Angeles this coming June, sponsored by the Braille Institute. He qualified earlier this year, with his perfect score of 100%, to compete in this national competition. The proceeds from this event will go towards off-setting the cost of the trip. Jalen will also be showing off his musical skill by playing in the show.

You can include John Németh on any list of the best of them."

On his latest release, Name The Day!, the dynamic soul sensation continues to reinvigorate vintage American rhythm and blues with his uncanny ability to skillfully blend retro and modern blues and soul into compelling music that is simultaneously old and new.

John Lee Hooker Jr. was born in Detroit "Motor" City with Delta blues-filled blood running through his Motown veins. The son of the great John Lee Hooker, he was exposed the life of the blues from a young age. At only eight years old Jr. performed on Detroit's WJBK radio and knew from that moment that he wanted to follow the path of his father and become a world-class musician. Touring alongside Hooker, Sr. throughout his teens, Jr. had already performed in prestigious venues such as Detroit's Fox Theatre with acclaimed musicians like Jimmy Reed by the time he was 16. In 1972, an eighteen year-old John Jr. was singing vocals alongside his father for the recording of Hooker, Sr.'s album Live at Soledad Prison (ABC Records).

Award-winning vocalist Janiva Magness is among the premier blues and R&B singers in the world today. Her voice possesses an earthy, raw honesty and beauty born from her life experience. A charismatic performer known for her electrifying live shows, Magness is a gutsy and dynamic musical powerhouse. She received the coveted 2009 Blues Music Awards for B.B. King Entertainer Of The Year (she is only the second woman to ever win this award, Koko Taylor being the first) and for Contemporary Blues Female Artist Of The Year, an honor she also received in 2006 and 2007. NICK MOSS & THE FLIP TOPS:
Chicago blues. Those two words conjure up the most powerful and evocative images in the entire history of American music. Think smoke-filled taverns on the South or West Side nearly ablaze with tremendous displays of electrified Delta beats from dignitaries named Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Rogers, Little Walter, Elmore James, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells and so many more. Imagine sidewalk curbs and street corners on busy Maxwell Street where storied performers like Hound Dog Taylor and Robert Nighthawk wailed the blues for spare change.

CHRIS DUARTE:
In Chris Duarte's musical view, the journey is as important as the destination, maybe even more so. Since emerging in the mid-1990s from Austin, Texas, a blues guitar hotbed, Duarte has forged new pathways for the blues and scouted numerous fresh trails for creative musical expression. Lauded for the exquisite artistry and vivid tonality of his six-string work, over the last decade Duarte has also proven his considerable mettle as a songwriter, singer and bandleader.
